All car batteries have a cold cranking amperage (CCA) rating. To determine which battery will meet the needs of a vehicle, technicians use the lowest degree of temperature possible and test the battery's output in amperes, which are known as cold cranking amps. It’s important to replace your car battery with the same manufacturer’s specifications, or you could find yourself unable to start your car at a very inconvenient time.

A car battery must also be kept clean and free of acid on the terminals. Not only does acid corrosion delay the start of a car's engine, it can block the electrical current which it needs from the alternator to keep it at its full capacity. If you see white build-up around your battery terminals, do not hesitate to have your battery tested.

When testing your vehicle battery at our service department, if necessary, it will be replaced with the correct amperage to keep you moving!
