Roadside emergency kits are an extremely important part of safe driving. Anything can happen when you're on the road, and even the smallest problem can turn into a serious emergency without one. Most people carry things such as jumper cables, flashlights, anti-freeze, and spare tires, which are all important, but there are things that most people don't consider important for a roadside emergency kit, including a blanket.

It may seem weird keeping a blanket in your car, but you never know what could happen. There have been cases of vehicular emergencies in which people have had to sleep inside of their vehicles, some overnight. Keeping a blanket in your car can prove to be extremely useful in case of an emergency where you would have to stay in your car overnight. Keep in mind that you should NEVER sleep in your car on the side of the road, especially a busy road.
